It is necessary that the states that make up the region share strategies to ensure that this economic bloc is among the safest in the country, said the governor, Victor Castro

Los Cabos, BCS – The governor of Baja California Sur, Víctor Castró, highlighted the agreements reached at the Sea of Cortez Forum, where the important role played by the private sector in the creation of public policies to improve the quality of life of citizens was recognized.

He mentioned that during the meetings of the forum, it was decided to continue giving greater impetus to the tourism sector; the creation of a permanent tourism round table was proposed to help improve the social development of this important economic block comprising Baja California, Sonora, Sinaloa, Nayarit and Baja California Sur.

For the state government, the central issue continues to be security and emphasized that it is necessary to keep the borders of the states closed to prevent people who commit crimes in one state from easily entering another.

Coordination between the different security agencies, he said, is fundamental to reduce the crime rate in this important block and sharing security strategies could place these states among the safest in the country.

The Governor pointed out that every action taken on economic, security, tourism or development issues must go hand in hand with private investment, in order to join forces and thereby increase the quality of life of its inhabitants.
