BCS youths travel to Colombia to compete in the Jr. Pan American Games; they start this Friday

Youth from Baja California Sur will participate in the Junior Pan American Games starting November 26th

A group of young South Californians will compete in the Junior Pan American Games, which will begin on November 26th in Cali, Colombia, in the sport of cycling; they traveled with their coach Enrique Gustavo Caraballo Valdes, who will support them during the events.

It will be Ricardo Peña Salas, who will compete in the velodrome in the Omnium, which consists of team pursuit and will also assist as an alternate in the Madison; before this, the cyclist said he feels physically and mentally well to face the challenge.

They also announced that Jorge Adrián Peyrot Balvanera will be the other competitor who traveled to Colombia to participate in the team pursuit events, as well as the road and time trial. The young athlete specified that it will be his last commitment during 2021.

“Since February we are racing and this is the last commitment, I will try to take advantage of everything I experienced in Belgium; in training I have felt good, but until the race I can not say how it can go, although I have very good expectations,” said Jorge Adrian.

Finally, they specified that the event will begin from November 26 to 29 at the Alcides Nieto Patiño Velodrome, and on the road from December 1 to 3 at the Urban Circuit in Buga; the Southcalifornian cyclist Juan Carlos Ruiz Teran, who recently closed his participation in Guadalajara, Jalisco, will also participate in the Pan American Games.
