Masks No Longer Mandatory In Mexico

The Mexican government pointed out that the use of mouthguards is not mandatory in enclosed spaces where there is a healthy distance.

People that have not yet been vaccinated against SARS-CoV-2 or who have an immunosuppressive condition should continue to use this protection -authorities indicated.

It was also indicated that the use of masks in airports should be an optional measure in all Mexican airports, extending this instruction to airlines as well.

“The aircraft use a high-efficiency (HEPA) filtration system that removes 99.9% of particulate matter, bacteria and viruses,” said General Director of the Federal Civil Aviation Agency (FAA).

Authorities suggest maintaining the use of mouthguards in enclosed spaces, especially in places with poor ventilation and a concentration of people that prevents maintaining a ‘healthy distance’ greater than 1.5 meters.
