November 28 pedestrian bridge to be demolished in Cabo San Lucas

CSL pedestrian bridge to be demolished in the next few days; speed bumps to be put in place while another one is being built

A little over a month ago, the citizens of Los Cabos raised their voices about the condition of the pedestrian bridge located on the Todos Santos-Cabo San Lucas highway in front of the Chedraui supermarket and La Comer. This week, the decision was made to demolish it.

The director of Public Works and Human Settlements, Adrián Marín Cota, explained that the bridge was not at risk of falling due to damage to the structure, however, since it does not comply with the height regulations, it cannot remain.

He stated that the removal of the bridge is scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m. on November 28th so that the work does not hinder the activities of the population and thus, by the morning of Monday 29th, the most complex part of the work, which is the removal of the bridge beam, will be completed.

Unfortunately we have to remove it for a few months, we can do it for a few days, I would lie, it will be a few months, but what will be a safe pedestrian walkway, it will be, whether it is a bridge or a subway way”, he pointed out.
