La Paz, Baja California Sur (BCS). As of this Monday, an English language training began for elements that are part of the La Paz and Los Cabos Tourist Police; It will be taught online by teachers from the Autonomous University of Baja California Sur (UABCS) and will last 120 hours.

The online course “English for Tourist Police” is focused on the Baja California Sur police, with the participation of 10 agents assigned to the La Paz tourist police, from Monday to Friday; likewise, they serve elements of the municipality of Los Cabos.

The training is developed by the UABCS, as well as the Consul for Educational Affairs of the United States Consulate General in Tijuana, which will allow better attention to the foreign community.

Upon completion, officers will learn to communicate effectively with foreign citizens, so they will be able to understand and structure basic topics of the English language, ask basic questions, answer questions, as well as give suggestions for tourist destinations.

Finally, it was highlighted that it will seek to expand the benefits of the course, trying to promote and replicate the knowledge obtained to the rest of the public security elements in both municipalities.
