As part of the fifth edition of the Classic Car Show Los Cabos 2021, the unveiling of a 1928 Ford A car took place.
The event was held on Sunday, December 5th, in the parking lot of the San Lucas plaza, with free access to the public. At 10:00 a.m. around 300 vehicles from different car clubs in the state were on display, including the classics belonging to the host club.
Municipal authorities, headed by the Mayor, Professor Oscar Leggs Castro, as well as Carlos Castro, representative of the State Government in the municipality of Los Cabos, officially unveiled the 1928 Ford A vehicle, owned by Mr. Luis Ruelas, member of the Los Cabos Classic Car Club.
The 1928 Ford A was manufactured from 1927-1931, it is an automobile that was produced and distributed by the American manufacturer Ford. This model was the second great success of the brand after its predecessor, the Ford T. Which was replaced after 18 years in continuous production, reaching 4,320,446 units of this model were produced. The Tudor version was sold at $ 500 (in gray, green or black) while the sedan cost $ 1,200.
The second uncovering was a 2014 Escalade vehicle, which was converted into a 2020 version by Polo’s Body Shop & Paint. They explained that the parts were grafted by the local shop. Tito Rosas, president of the Los Cabos Classic Car Club, explained that the intention of this unveiling is to recognize the body and paint work of said shop, stating that they are more talented than any other shop nationwide. “An excellent work of Choyero and South Californian hands”, said Mr. Rosas.
The Classic Car Show Los Cabos 2021, continued to be held at the close of this edition, with music, contests and awards ceremony.
