The immunological product to be applied to this population will be from the Pfizer laboratory.
The Ministry of Welfare opened the call for applications for the Covid-19 vaccine for adolescents between 15 and 17 years old; the delegate of this federal agency, Diphna Yanssén Weichselbaum, informed that the date for the beginning of the immunization and the locations have not yet been defined, but clarified that there is availability of biologicals and capacity to begin at the moment the health authority determines it.
He clarified that the same procedure will be used for vaccinations for other segments of the population, i.e. through the web page, where as of November 19, the interested party must enter his/her Unique Population Registry Code (CURP), address and telephone number and must be 15 years of age.
He reminded that the biological vaccine that will be applied is from Pfizer, so far, the only one authorized in Mexico for children under 18 years of age; with respect to the availability of these vaccines in the entity, he informed that 7 thousand doses were recently received to attend children with comorbidity, however only 1823 were applied, in addition to 52 doses of amparos.
