This is the first direct flight between Madrid, Spain and Los Cabos, in Baja California Sur, Mexico, which will boost the connectivity of the southern Californian destination and generate more than 8,000 additional tourists in 2022.
The route will be operated aboard a new-generation Airbus A350, capable of covering the route directly and non-stop, and will begin operations on June 20, 2022 with 432 passengers per operation from Madrid, who will enjoy high standards of quality and comfort.
Iberojet, an airline owned by Ávoris Corporación Empresarial, announced that it will begin operating the first route connecting Madrid, Spain, with Los Cabos in Baja California Sur, Mexico.
In a press release, Miguel Ángel Sánchez, CEO of Ávoris Corporación Empresarial, commented that, “The ambitious flight development plan we have for 2022 takes shape thanks to this new destination, which will allow Spanish travelers to enjoy the tourist, cultural and gastronomic charms of this beautiful Mexican region”.
“This new route will diversify the tourist market by welcoming passengers from Spain and other European countries, who will witness the amazing natural wealth we have…,” said Victor Castro Cosio, Governor of the State of Baja California Sur.
With this new route, Los Cabos accesses the European market, which is another step in the diversification of outbound markets to the destination. Annually, Mexico receives more than 144 thousand tourists of this nationality, which represents 83% of 2020 arrivals, which shows the genuine interest of Spaniards in visiting the country.
